Grants of up to $3,000 to USA, Canada, and International school administrators, mentor teachers, exchange teachers, and alumni from the funding source's foreign language exchange teacher program for professional development and school projects. Funding is intended for projects to complement the TCLP experience by contributing to the enhancement of critical language programs in U.S. schools and furthering the teaching of English, Arabic, or Chinese as a Foreign Language in the home countries of the international alumni. In addition, CLPs promote mutual understanding and lasting relationships between program alumni and their U.S. colleagues.
TCLP will issue Critical Language Projects grants in two categories. Examples and suggestions for each category are below:
School Project: Provides funding for collaborative or independent projects that benefit the participant's home school or district and/or U.S. host schools or district.
Professional Development Project: Provides funding for attending conferences or professional development opportunities that enhance curriculum development or the teaching of critical languages.

Project start dates must fall after the current application deadline; The maximum duration of a proposed project is eight months.
