In addition to a monthly cash stipend, fellows will participate in a year-long residency at an art center, attend workshops and lectures, access studio space, and engage in paid teaching opportunities. Preference will be given to culturally diverse artists from backgrounds traditionally underrepresented in ceramics. Recipients should be current or past Westchester residents, have a strong tie to Westchester, or interest in serving the Westchester community.

Awards to New York visual artists in eligible locations to recognize outstanding work in contemporary art. In addition to funding, successful awardees will receive networking opportunities, publicity on the funding source's website, and the opportunity to form connections and share resources with other artists. The awards are open to all visual artists living and working in New York City.

Awards to USA, Canada, and International authors for nonfiction books on Jewish subjects. In addition to the $5,000 cash prize, winners will receive marketing and promotion assistance and customized support. Awards are available for books that have recently been published or are soon to be published, involving themes such as rein­vent­ing Jew­ish life and com­mu­ni­ty for the twen­ty-first cen­tu­ry, shift­ing notions of indi­vid­ual and collec­tive Jew­ish iden­ti­ty, the his­to­ry and future of Israel, and the evolv­ing rela­tion­ship between Israel and world Jewry.

Funding is intended to support proposals that have a direct impact on the lives of individuals living in Delaware County and contiguously surrounding counties in rural upstate New York (Otsego, Schoharie, Ulster, Sullivan, Broome, Greene, and Chenango). The Foundation’s main focus is Delaware County.

Grants to USA and Canada vascular surgeon-scientists for research projects related to vascular health. Funding may be used for direct research costs in the areas of foundational science, clinical studies, patient-focused research, outcomes and health services, education, community support, translational, and patient care. The 2025 Wylie Scholar will be given the opportunity to be paired with a former Wylie Scholar who will serve as a mentor/advisor and provide research project guidance.

Grants to USA federally recognized Indian tribes to improve library services in Native communities. Applicants are advised that required registrations may take several weeks to complete. Funding is intended for digital services, educational programs, and the preservation and revitalization of Native American cultures and languages.

Scholarships of up to $6,000 to USA post-secondary students to study at a qualifying academic institution in Israel. Partial scholarships will be awarded to students attending a pre-approved university, institution of higher learning, or study program. Funds may be used for tuition expenses for undergraduate, graduate, post-doc, or other studies. The Scholarship Committee considers each student’s merit regardless of financial need.

Grants of up to $50,000 to New York nonprofit organizations, government agencies, schools, businesses, and individual landowners for environmental stewardship projects in eligible locations. Funding is intended for projects and activities such as streambank and lakeshore stabilizations, and stormwater and agricultural runoff management. The Watershed Grant Program includes water quality improvement projects within the watershed areas of Bear, Cassadaga, Findley, Chautauqua, and Lake Erie.

Grants to New York and Pennsylvania nonprofit organizations for a broad range of programs that improve the quality of life for local residents in eligible locations. In the past, grants have been awarded in the areas of environment, education, arts and culture, health and medical services, community, and human services.

Grants to New York organizations, small businesses, groups, and individuals in eligible locations for projects that improve the quality of life for local residents. Funding is intended to support small, grassroots initiatives that will contribute to increased self-sufficiency, equity, and lasting social, economic, and environmental health. Priority is given to small and/or new entities with relatively few sources of financial support. Eligible projects must take place in Tompkins County.

Grants of up to $36,000 to USA individual painters and groups of painters over the age of 45 who need financial assistance. The goal of this program is to support the creation of American art and to support American artists who have not been shown fitting recognition. In addition to the cash grant, the award also includes an exhibition at PAAM. The review criteria for the grant are artistic quality, creative ability as evidenced by images of work submitted, and financial need.

In-kind grants of new children's books to USA public and tribal libraries in rural areas. The purpose of the project is to increase access to quality children's books. Recipients will be able to choose the most appropriate books for their community from a list of over 500 high-quality hardcover children’s books, including award-winning and star-reviewed titles from educational and literary organizations.

Grants to New York and Vermont nonprofit organizations in eligible counties that work to promote education, health, and general civic or social betterment. Funding is also intended for disadvantaged women working as seamstresses or factory workers. Eligible applicants are located in Windham County, Vermont, (primarily the Town of Brattleboro) or in Dutchess County, New York (primarily the Town of Rhinebeck).

Grants to New York nonprofit organizations for projects to enhance the quality of life in eligible locations. Funding is intended for programs and activities within the focus areas of community development, the arts, education, health, environment, mental health, hunger, youth development, and technical assistance. Eligible proposals benefit the residents of Long Island.

Grants of up to $10,000 to USA organizations in multiple states for activities that enhance natural resource industries. Funding is intended to support events, projects, and programs that strengthen and promote the agriculture, commercial fishing, and forest product industries in the Northeast region, including Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

Funding is intended to be used for one-time costs or to address emerging needs. Eligible applicants are located in or serve the geographic area of Randolph.

Grants to USA tribal, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian IHEs to advance research, education, and outreach in STEM and other disciplines. Funding is intended to support projects that build capacity, engage the community, and promote research across the social and behavioral sciences, natural sciences, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The purpose of the program is to support the long-term careers of individuals who will go on to conduct research that will improve the lives of patients and make progress toward a cure for psoriatic disease.

Grants of up to $25,000 to New York nonprofit organizations to promote social change in eligible regions. Funding is intended for programs and activities that foster social, economic, and environmental justice. Eligible organizations are those with leadership from communities directly impacted by injustices and are located in Long Island.

Grants of $500 and grants of $6,000 to USA and Canada PreK-12 teachers and student teachers for book purchases to enhance their classroom libraries. Grantees will choose books based on the specific needs of their students. Funding is intended for applicants dedicated to regular independent reading during class time.

Grants to USA small and medium-sized manufacturing facilities and waste and water treatment facilities for projects to improve energy efficiency. Applicants are advised that required registrations may take several weeks to finalize. Funding is intended for applicants to implement recommendations made in energy assessments.

Funding is intended for religious, literary, scientific, or educational purposes and to prevent cruelty to animals. Priority will be shown to charitable organizations serving Harris County, Texas and surrounding counties.

Grants to USA nonprofit organizations in multiple states for research and education related to Thoroughbred horses. Funding is intended for activities to support the welfare and health of Thoroughbreds, as well as to make racing safer. Applicant organizations must be located in the Mid-Atlantic region. The region includes New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Washington, DC, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Grants of up to $6,000 to USA nonprofit organizations to support the provision of literacy services for students. Funding is intended for general operations, including but not limited to equipment, supplies, salaries, space rental, technology, teacher stipends, and more. Proposals may also focus on a particular project or new programming effort.

Grant of $80,000 to a USA academic institution to support clinical training programs related to Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Programs will take place in locations experiencing workforce difficulties. Funds may be used for the fellow's salary expenses and benefits. Fellows will engage in clinical training focused on IBD.

Awards to USA, Canada, and International poets and authors of any age to recognize outstanding humorous poems. Works that have been previously published as well as unpublished works are eligible. In addition to the cash prizes for first-, second-, and third-place winners and honorable mentions, entries will also be published on the Winning Writers website.

Residencies to USA emerging ceramic artists to gain experience and advance their careers. Residencies take place at a ceramic art center in New York. Residents will receive a monthly stipend, free firing, studio space, opportunities to teach and exhibit work, and professional development options. Applications are encouraged from candidates from historically underrepresented communities in the ceramic arts.

Scholarships to USA juniors at accredited colleges and universities to pursue careers in the field of public service. The goal of the program is to create the next generation of leaders and community builders. Funding is intended for applicants with demonstrated financial need. Scholarship recipients will receive financial aid for college, a stipend and housing for summer work-travel experience, and a ten-year travel stipend. Additionally, students will receive invitations to an annual summit and an ongoing speaker series, giving them access to a network of leaders.

Grant of $2,000 to a USA Jewish college or graduate student for independent study relating to Israel in the visual arts. Applicants must contact the funder prior to submitting an application. Funding is intended to provide the student with an opportunity to develop their interest at a deeper level and covers professional mentorship, studio work, materials, and research.

Grants of up to $10,000 to USA, Canada, and International artists to create and present new works of performance art in New York City. Funding is intended to support the career advancement of early-career artists of all backgrounds. Selected artists are expected to present their work in New York City.

Funding is intended for a variety of lake maintenance projects including shoreline cleanup, aquatic vegetation management, invasive species management, algal bloom mitigation, dredging, flood mitigation, and other projects that improve the lake’s usability for recreation and tourism. Focus areas include capacity building, advancing ecosystems, strengthening resources, and providing educational opportunities for women and girls. The Foundation's grantmaking to nonprofits is founded in the belief that, equipped with support, skills, and capital, female entrepreneurs can have a boundless impact in society.

Applicants must be from institutions that are members of NNLM Region 7: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

Grants of up to $5,000 to USA children of enlisted Coast Guard members to pursue higher education. Funding is intended to reduce student loan debt accrued by the children of active or retired service members to provide them with a stronger future. Eligible applicants may receive up to four annual scholarships.

Grants to USA scientists affiliated with for-profit companies for projects to develop drug treatments for neurological disorders. The purpose of the program is to support projects that demonstrate potential for future commercial development. Projects should address commercial funding gaps by de-risking therapeutic development for SCN2A Related Disorders.

Funding is intended to support critical floriculture topics on a wide range of topics. Research projects should be innovative and have an anticipated benefit to the floriculture industry.

Grants to USA scientists and researchers affiliated with research organizations and institutions for research projects related to peanut consumption and its effects on human health. Funding is intended to cover a wide range of topic areas that address nutrition and peanut consumption.

Grants to USA researchers and scientists affiliated with research organizations and institutions for research studies related to nutrition and the consumption of peanut products. Funding is intended to fund long-term and/or large-scale human studies that are well-designed.

Grants of up to $10,000 to New York nonprofit organizations for arts events, activities, and projects in eligible regions. Funding is intended to enhance the cultural services and programs provided by local organizations and artists. Applicants must be headquartered in the City of Mount Vernon or the City of Yonkers.

Grants and in-kind support to New York City nonprofit organizations for activities that benefit children, youth, and young adults. Priority is given to proposals that promote equality for underserved populations. Eligible applicants are youth-serving community-based nonprofit organizations in any of the five boroughs of New York City whose staff have direct programmatic contact with youth at the point of service.

Grants of up to $20,000 to USA, Canada, and International literary publishers, theater organizations, and companies for the translation of Canadian dramatic or literary works. Applicants must be registered in the online portal a minimum of thirty days before applying. Funding is intended to prepare works for international presentation or publication.

Grants of up to $40,000 to USA and territories individual artists or artist-led nonprofit organizations for creative and professional development activities and opportunities. Funding is intended to support accomplished mid-career musicians to pursue residency experiences. Applicants must be professional jazz artists.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International researchers for research projects in the field of dermatology. Funding is intended to support research projects that increase the understanding of dermatological diseases and their symptoms. Eligible projects are those that address clinical issues among people who are at risk of developing, or have developed, a skin disease, including how it impacts their quality of life and the societal costs involved.

Fellowships of up to $60,000 to New York City public and charter school teachers for professional development. Applicants must complete a content knowledge exam prior to submitting an application. Selected fellows will receive professional development opportunities, stipends, opportunities to apply for funding, and access to a professional network of teachers over the four-year fellowship period.

Opportunity for USA active, guard, and reserve military and veterans to participate in a business development program. Successful applicants will participate in an entrepreneurship accelerator. Sessions take place virtually and are given by a live instructor. The program will take place over an eight-week period.

Opportunity for USA small businesses to develop and experiment with prototype technologies with military applications. Funding is intended for technologies that address specific military needs including ordnance detection, defensive capabilities against watercraft, and electronic warfare sensing.

Grants of up to $2,000 to New York nonprofit organizations, municipalities, and school districts in eligible locations for youth activities and recreational programs. Funding is also intended to provide camp scholarships to local youth who demonstrate a financial need. Grants, in-kind services, and a Prize to USA arts collaboratives and artists. For the upcoming grant cycle, artists in the following disciplines are invited to apply: visual arts, performing arts, film, and literature. In addition to funding, artists will receive consulting services and become part of a community network of fellow artists and advisors; one grant recipient from each state will win an additional prize. Opportunity for USA, Canada, and International individuals to participate in an accelerator program to explore improvements in the running of business events and exhibitions. Participants will brainstorm with colleagues both virtually and in person about this year's theme - innovative and unconventional formats to inspire the next evolution of event models. The theme will be developed through discussions, sponsor support, and a workshop. This is a seven-month project alongside peers from around the world.

Grants of up to $10,000 to USA nonprofit organizations and individuals for programs and projects to support people with cystic fibrosis and their families. Funding is intended to support established and new initiatives to support the daily needs of individuals with cystic fibrosis.

Grants to New York labor organizations and training centers to expand the clean energy workforce. Funding is intended to instruct apprentices, pre-apprentices, and journey workers to assume jobs in this field. Eligible training activities include hands-on and virtual training, curriculum development, and technical training for program expansion.

Grants to New York nonprofit agencies to provide short-term housing facilities to at-risk teens who are transitioning out of child-serving systems. Applicants must complete required registrations and pre-qualify prior to submitting a grant proposal. Funding is intended to prepare transition-age youth with child welfare involvement, including those with co-occurring substance use disorder, mental health, and autism or intellectual disability diagnoses, to transition to adulthood.

Award of $25,000 to a USA medical school faculty member to acknowledge efforts to achieve justice and equity for minorities in the fields of healthcare and medical education. The recipient will be awarded a grant for a project that supports the equity and needs of ethnic and racial minorities.

Grants of up to $5,000 to USA, Canada, and International groups and individuals for projects and programs to benefit the science writing field and provide professional development opportunities for writers. Priority will be given to proposals for novel events, projects, and resources that the NASW grants program has not supported in the past.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International nonprofit and for-profit organizations for research projects addressing gambling behaviors and disorders. Funding is intended to support high-quality projects led by researchers with a PhD, MD, or similar degree. Early career researchers are encouraged to apply.

Grants to USA nonprofit organizations in multiple cities for technology career pathway programs for underserved youth. Funding is intended for programs that include training, networking and mentoring, work-based learning, job and internship placements, and opportunities for industry-recognized credentials and certifications. Preferred locations include the locations of the Best Buy Teen Tech Centers.

Grants of up to $40,000 to USA nonprofit organizations for natural resources conservation and management. Applicants are required to submit a letter of inquiry prior to submitting a full application. Funding is intended to support initiatives to protect the environment and conserve marine resources. General grants focus on the conservation of natural resources in eastern North America and the Caribbean Basin, with an emphasis on the United States. Site-specific grants are limited to South Florida and Alabama.

Grants to New York nonprofit organizations and government entities for neighborhood improvement projects that benefit low- and moderate-income residents in eligible locations. Funding is intended to increase economic opportunities, as well as to provide adequate living circumstances and affordable housing for low- and moderate-income individuals and families in Utica.

Funding is intended for the acquisition, construction, and renovation of housing units. Funding is intended for projects and programs in the focus areas of homelessness prevention, emergency shelter, rapid re-housing, street outreach, and homeless information database support. Programs must assist homeless persons in the City of Utica.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International organizations, NGOs, educational institutions, and businesses for projects to expand online financial services. Funding is intended to support yearlong projects to help firms join an online financial network. Priority will be given to projects that involve communities that have, and continue to be, systemically and deliberately excluded from financial access and empowerment opportunities.

Grant to a USA, Canada, or International nonprofit or for-profit organization for research investigating the dangers associated with working in the gambling industry. Applicants must submit a letter of intent prior to applying. Funding is intended to determine the impact working in the industry has on employees' mental and physical health.

Grants to New York nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and schools for summer time projects and activities that benefit children and youth in eligible locations. Funding is intended to support programs that serve young people, particularly those between the ages of 5 and 14. Applicants must be located in the Western New York counties of Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Niagara, Orleans, and Wyoming.

Grants of $5,000 and grants of up to $15,000 to Pennsylvania, New York City, Kansas, and Canada nonprofit organizations for initiatives that benefit young people ages 15-25 in eligible regions. Funding is intended to support impactful projects and programs that empower and educate teenagers and young adults. Eligible applicants have a location in or near the following metropolitan areas: Pittsburgh or Hazleton, Pennsylvania; New York City, New York; Ottawa, Kansas; or Mississauga, Ontario.

Fellows will work in one of the following fields: advocacy and policy change, electoral engagement, and grassroots movement building. Fellows will work with a host organization, be matched with a mentor, participate in an ongoing speaker series, and have access to a network of other leaders within the democracy-building, public service, and social justice spaces.
