Grants of $25,000 to USA MD and PhD investigators at accredited academic institutions or nonprofit medical research institutions for short-term, small research projects related to medical issues that affect women. Funding is intended to support studies that demonstrate promise for enhancing medical care in leading women’s health concerns, including cardiovascular disease, female cancers, the role of hormones in disease and stage-of-life health issues, and diseases disproportionately affecting women.
Eligible research topics must be related to the Foundation's priority areas which include:
FWW favors research proposals that have direct clinical application in preventing and/or treating disease; studies with the promise of yielding results that will attract larger sources of funding for advancing study; and influencing long-term research and clinical care directions. FWW favors focused, quality study design.
