Awards to New York City individual educators to recognize outstanding contributions to art education. Nominations will be considered for individuals who can demonstrate current advocacy for the arts and arts teaching or administrative initiatives. Awards will be issued in the following categories:
a. Elementary
b. Middle School
c. High School
d. District 75
e. Arts Administrator
f. Arts Advocate
g. Cooperating Teacher/Mentor
h. Teacher Higher Education

This program is open to Licensed NYC Art Teachers.
Past award winners are not eligible for the same category.
The deadline for nominations is Tuesday, April 25, 2017. Self-nominations accepted.
elected nominees will be recognized by the New York City Art Teachers Association/UFT at the NYCATA/UFT End Year General Meeting on Friday, June 9, 2017 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Fifth Ave & 82nd Street, NYC. 4:30 - 6:00 PM and on October 28th, 2017 at the annual conference.
