Holocaust Educational Foundation of Northwestern University (HEFNU)
12/06/20 Midnight (U.S. Pacific Time)
Grants of up to $4,000 to USA, Canada, and International institutions of higher education to develop and offer courses related to the Holocaust. Funding may also be used to improve an institution's Holocaust resources. Proposals at colleges and universities where courses in Holocaust studies are not available or where they are in need of further support are given priority.
The Holocaust Educational Foundation of Northwestern University (HEFNU) is dedicated to expanding and strengthening Holocaust studies at institutions of higher education around the world. Teaching grants help faculty launch new courses related to the Holocaust or enhance institutional resources to reinforce such courses.
HEFNU considers applications to fund any phase of the course preparation from professional development to implementation. HEFNU also welcomes proposals to expand library offerings for students taking courses about the Holocaust, to support bringing a speaker to campus, or other ideas that offer knowledge about the Holocaust on your campus.
Proposals that demonstrate a solid plan to implement the course within two years of receiving the grant, that will sustain the course beyond a single year, that incorporate an event that will reach students across the campus, and/or that include a financial commitment from the university are especially welcome. HEFNU accepts proposals for Teaching Grants for courses proposed for the following academic year.
