In-kind grants of technology to USA educational institutions. Grantees will receive professional development, support, and licenses for a web application to help students learn secondary level mathematics. The application may be used in hybrid and remote learning environments.
Figure Classroom is a cloud-based app designed to teach high school math by discovery. Covering the whole range of the core secondary math curriculum from Pre-Algebra to Pre-Calculus, this is your solution for teaching and learning mathematics. Students explore equations and build strategies for manipulating expressions as the app provides positive reinforcement. In addition, teachers can use Figure as a presentation tool, to demonstrate strategies for solving equations.

The Figure Classroom MicroGrant 2020 includes a full year site license for Figure Classroom, unlimited number of teachers and students from one site – up to $20,000 per award. Approximately $80,000 will be awarded in the U.S.. Winners will also receive professional development and ongoing support to ensure successful implementation measured by pre, interim, and post-assessments.
