Grants to New York nonprofit organizations and individuals in eligible counties to mitigate losses due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Funding is intended to help local organizations and artists that have lost revenue due to cancelled events. Eligible applicants are located in Erie, Niagara, Allegany, Cattaraugus, or Chautauqua counties.
The current state of emergency caused by COVID-19 has impacted the region’s artists and nonprofit arts and cultural organizations in a profound way. With the cancellation of many events, performances, classes, workshops, and gigs to reduce the spread of the virus, individuals and organizations who rely on event-based income are losing essential revenue that is key to their continued operations.
In response to this economic hardship, Arts Services Inc. (ASI) has created an Arts Emergency Relief Fund in coordination with area foundations, corporations, and individual donors to support these artists and arts organizations who have lost significant revenue due to the cancellation of events and gatherings.
