Grants of $500 and $1,000 to USA youth, schools, community organizations, and after-school programs in eligible regions for youth-led projects that use the arts to address local community issues. Funding is intended for activities that align with the following areas of focus: poverty and hunger, education, health and well-being, equality, safety, climate change, environment, or peace. Successful applicants will address the local community's needs by educating others, volunteering, advocating, or fundraising.

Eligible programs should be located in Chicago, Illinois; Savannah, Georgia; Wilmington, North Carolina; New York City; Washington, DC; New Orleans, Louisiana; Richmond, Virginia; or Syracuse, New York.

Applicants are encouraged to use the arts (music, painting, drawing, writing, dance/movement, graphic design, drama/theater, photography, film-making, comedy, fashion design, etc.) to create a successful project and tell their story.

The projects must be youth-led and activate volunteers ages 12-25.

Tapestry Collection Spark the Arts grants will be awarded to up to 10 youth, schools, youth development/afterschool programs, and community-based organizations in cities with a Tapestry Collection.

Estimated Size of Grant:

Tapestry Collection Spark the Arts will award grants of $500 and $1,000.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Youth, schools, youth development/afterschool programs, and community-based organizations in eligible cities can apply.

Applications are accepted until January 31, 2019 for projects in Chicago, Illinois; Savannah, Georgia; and Wilmington, North Carolina.
