Grants to Connecticut and Long Island, New York nonprofit organizations to assist underserved women who are affected by breast cancer. Funding is intended to support services and programs that benefit uninsured and underinsured residents of Nassau and Suffolk Counties and the State of Connecticut. Grants may be used to assist families as well as for diagnostic testing and screening.

Pink Aid’s mission is to help underserved local women survive breast cancer treatment with support and dignity, to provide screening to women in financial need, and to empower breast cancer survivors to heal by helping and inspiring others. Pink Aid grants are awarded to recipients whose goals best advance Pink Aid’s Mission.

Eligible expenses include, but are not limited to, screening and diagnostic testing (including mammograms, ultrasounds and biopsies).

Term of Contract:

The Pink Aid grant term is one calendar year. The 2020 grant period will be from March 1, 2020 to February 28, 2021.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Applicant organizations should submit a copy of their IRS 501(c)(3) determination letter.

All Pink Aid grant applicant organizations must be located in or serve the residents of either the State of Connecticut or Long Island, New York.

Long Island applications will be considered for programs and services that serve residents of Long Island (Nassau/ Suffolk Counties).

Pre-Application Information:

Applications must be submitted by the deadline date of November 16, 2019. Your application must be received by email or postmarked by the deadline date to be considered.

Applicants from Connecticut and Long Island should email the application as an attachment along with a copy of their organization’s IRS 501(c)(3) determination letter to the appropriate email address (for Connecticut or Long Island).

All grantees under consideration will be required to meet with the Grants Committee in December 2019 or January 2020 (dates TBD). Applicants will be notified by email in mid-February on the decision regarding their proposals, with grant contracts sent at that time. Pink Aid will begin distributing grants on or about March 1, 2020.
